ClearBreaths provides breathing and relaxation exercises for general wellbeing. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.
Not a medical service
The sessions, timers, programs, and information in ClearBreaths are for educational and general wellbeing purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified provider with any questions about a medical condition, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read or practiced here.
Talk to a doctor first if…
Breathing exercises are gentle for most people, but please consult a doctor before starting if you are pregnant, or have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, a respiratory condition such as asthma or COPD, epilepsy or a seizure disorder, a history of fainting, panic disorder, or any other significant medical condition. If you are unsure whether breathwork is right for you, ask a professional first.
Practice safely
- Practice sitting or lying down in a safe, comfortable place.
- Never do breathing exercises or breath holds while driving, operating machinery, in or near water, or anywhere a brief dizziness could cause harm.
- Breathe gently. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, short of breath, anxious, or unwell, stop and return to normal, relaxed breathing.
- Do not force or strain your breath, and ease off any technique that feels uncomfortable.
- Keep breath holds well within a comfortable range — they are never meant to be a struggle.
In an emergency
ClearBreaths is not for emergencies. If you are having a medical emergency, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or thoughts of harming yourself, call your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately.
Your responsibility
You use ClearBreaths at your own discretion and risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClearBreaths is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the exercises or information provided. See our Terms of Service for more.
